Biography

Rev Stephen Yenusom Wengam is the General Superintendent of the Assemblies of God, Ghana, the Vice Chairman of Africa Assemblies of God Alliance and the Lead Pastor of Cedar Mountain Chapel, East Legon, Accra. He is also a board member of the Church Health Committee of the World Assemblies of God Fellowship.

He holds a Master of Theology degree and Diploma in Christian Clinical Counselling from International Theological Seminary, USA, BSc. Admin (Marketing option) from the University of Ghana, Diploma in Theology from the Assemblies of God Theological Seminary and a Certificate in Corporate Governance from Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration (GIMPA). He was awarded an honorary Doctorate Degree by the Pan African Clergy Council in 2012. He was the Senior Resident Radio Pastor of Citi 97.3FM and Citi T.V. He hosts Family Consecration Service (a 12-hour non-stop prayer event) which attracts about 10,000 people at each event.

Rev. Wengam was the Chairman of the Ghana Prisons Service Council after serving as a member. Together with the rest of the board, they launched a Ten-Year Strategic Plan and a Self-Help Project christened “Project Efiase” where they solicited public and private sector support to transform Ghana Prisons into centres of excellence. He serves as a Citi FM Foundation Board member and has chaired several boards of various organisations. He was the West Africa Executive Coordinator of Global Leadership Training, U.S.A. and is the author of the bestselling book, 365 Prayer Missiles.

Rev. Wengam is married to Lady Monica. Their union is blessed with two children: Ithra Yenupiini Fremah and Matthew-King Baanan.
